HOW DO I KNOW WHAT WIG SIZE I NEED

The majority of wigs are average size because 95% of individuals fall into this category. However, we do carry many of our most popular styles in Large and we also offer some Petite sizes as well. All of our Wig cap sizes are adjustable by simply adjusting the Velcro strips.

Average size wig cap fits heads 21.5 to 22.5 inches in circumference
Large size wigs fit heads 23" in circumference
Petite size fits heads 18-21" in circumference

HOW DO I MEASURE MY HEAD FOR A WIG

To measure the circumference of your head, simply take a tape measure and place it at the middle of your forehead at the hairline.

Then run the tape around the head, behind one ear, around the nape of the neck, behind the other ear, and then back to the front at the hairline.

If you don't have a tape measure you can use a string and mark the circumference and then measure the string.

HOW DO I PROPERLY CARE FOR MY WIGS

We highly recommend using Godiva's Secret Wigs Keep It Clean shampoo and Keep It Sleek conditioner made especially for synthetic wig fibers. Watch this video on "How To Wash & Dry a Synthetic Wig."
We recommend washing your wig approximately every 10 wearings.
Freshen up your wig in between washings to keep it smelling good with Godiva's Secret Wigs Wig Freshener.
We recommend using only Godiva's Secret Wigs Keep It There low alcohol hairspray for synthetic wigs. NEVER USE REGULAR HAIRSPRAY.
For curly wigs try Godiva's Secret Wigs Keep it Curly. You can use it on your wig as well as your natural hair.
Wig Lusterizer is a must for our medium to long Wigs. This will give your wig extra conditioning helping it feel soft and extend the life of the wig.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CAP CONSTRUCTION

This is a very good question. If you are new to wigs you might not be familiar with the different types of Caps that wigs come in. MACHINE TEASED WIG CAP

If you like height and fullness machine teased might be what you’re looking for. The crown of this cap is machine-teased with the rest of the cap open wefted. It’s light weightiness and affordability make this a very popular choice.

LACE FRONT CAP

Lace front wigs are so natural looking it’s almost impossible to know you know have on a wig. These caps have a sheer piece of lace at the front of the wig giving the appearance of a natural hairline. The crown part of the cap is still machine-teased allowing for some great fullness.

If you prefer a flatter look you might like a Monofilament Cap. Unlike machine-teased, the hairs are individually hand tied onto a thin mesh-like material at the crown giving the appearance of a natural scalp. These caps are some of the most realistic looking wigs.

If you like the lace front and the monofilament but want a bit of fullness, then a Partial-Monofilament with Lace Front might be the perfect wig cap for you. With the monofilament crown piece only running down the left side, the right side is machine-teased providing some fullness at the crown.

This cap combines both a lace front with a full monofilament crown giving the appearance of a natural hairline and a natural scalp. Part this on either side or down the middle and you’ll still have the effect of a natural scalp. There is no machine teasing on this cap so it will lay very flat to the head.

A hand tied cap is the top of the line when it comes to wigs. The entire crown is a monofilament top with every single hair individually hand tied to the cap. There are no open wefts on a hand tied wig. The lace front adds the appearance of a natural hair line.
